The main problem in the Luxury Travel Industry is that the interests of the guest and the agent are not aligned. The agent wants to make as much as possible from the High Net Worth guest while the guest only wants the services they pay for at fair value.
The issue originates with the commission structure, where if:

The agent takes 100% of the commission - This is the traditional model where the agent may choose the service which pays the highest commission and is not necessarily the best available. This is similar to estate agents' hit and run tactics.

The agent takes 0% commission and a high yearly flat fee - The agent only has return customers as target focusing exclusively on the experience. They do not fight for the highest commission, thus the rebate to the client suffers.
The Key Club shares the commission 50/50 with the guest and takes a low yearly fee. The main revenue stream is thus shared with the guest aligning the interest of getting the best at fair value, to retain the guest, at the highest commission/rebate possible.
OUR STORY
The Key Club was formed by Andre and Vikram after they met on a project developing online communities for High Net Worth Individuals. This was part of a bigger plan that the In Residence team was working on to drag the Luxury Travel Industry into the twenty first century.
Andre has spent the last 20 years developing and delivering luxury brands, including the last 5 years as partner at www.inresidence.villas one of the fastest growing providers of Super Luxury Travel in the world. Vikram has many years of experience at the building, marketing and launching of online communities and brands.
After a detailed analysis of the luxury travel world they decided to join forces and use innovative thinking and the latest technologies to build a High Net Worth community which would provide its members with the best travel and luxury experiences at the best value for money.
Hence The Key Club was born.
